The Author Society combines multiple points of promotion to advance the readership of member authors. Acting alone, it is difficult to get one’s name into the collective minds of readers. By working together, everyone benefits from the cross-promotion efforts of the membership.
There are currently no financial costs to join The Author Society.
We do require several things from prospective members:
- Application completely filled out and submitted via the contact page.
- A novella-length (~40,000 word or more) fiction/nonfiction work or collection that will be given away for free to site visitors. This can be something that is currently available on Amazon or other outlets for free.
- Members can change the work as often as they wish, but must have at least one work available at all times.
- Promoting The Author Society and its members at all appearances. Printable promotional materials will be provided by The Author Society. Other promotional materials are available through individual members, such as flyers, bookmarks, and business cards.
What do you get in return?

- Promotion of your work at conventions you can’t attend.
- Promotion of your work at book signings across the country.
- Free QRCodes that link directly to your free promotional works.
- Private forums to discuss your work.
- The ability to share works in progress for editing and feedback from other authors.
- A live chatroom for discussions and tutorials.
- Links to your works for sale.
- A banner exchange for your author page, blog, or fan page.
Membership is not open to the general public right now, except on an invitation basis.
